Holistic financial planning

Eight areas of your money. One plan.

Most people get advice one product at a time. A financial planner looks at every area together, because a decision in one changes the others. Choose an area to see what we review.

Plans for every life stage

Where are you right now?

Money priorities change every decade. Choose your stage to see what matters most, and the gaps we most often find.

Our planning process

Six steps, the international way

We follow the six-element financial planning process published by FPSB, the global standards body for financial planning. Each step ends with something you can hold in your hand.

  1. 1

    Define the relationship

A first conversation about what you want to achieve. We agree the scope and timeline before any work begins.

    You receive: an engagement letter
  2. 2

    Collect your information

Your goals, family, income, expenses, assets, loans, policies and property: the numbers and the priorities behind them.

    You receive: a document checklist
  3. 3

    Analyse your position

Where you stand today across all eight planning areas, and the gaps between where you are and where you want to be.

You receive: net-worth and cash-flow statements
  4. 4

    Recommend and present

A written plan with clear recommendations, the reasoning behind each, and the alternatives we considered.

You receive: your written financial plan
  5. 5

    Implement

You act on the plan with providers you choose. We guide each step and check that what you buy matches what the plan needs.

You receive: a step-by-step action list
  6. 6

    Review

Markets, tax rules and your life all change. We review the plan at least once a year and after any big life event.

You receive: an annual review meeting

Before we recommend anything

Eight questions we ask every family

“Goals before products. A plan that starts with a product usually ends with a regret.”
The Wealth Tank way
  1. 01What is the goal, how much does it need, and by when?
  2. 02What happens to the family if the earner falls sick or dies tomorrow?
  3. 03Is there an emergency fund of 6–12 months of expenses?
  4. 04What is the real return after tax and inflation?
  5. 05What are all the costs: expense ratio, charges, exit load, surrender value?
  6. 06How quickly can you get the money in an emergency?
  7. 07Who sold you each product, and how were they paid?
  8. 08Is there a nomination and a Will, so money reaches the right person?

05

Professionalism

We keep commitments, deadlines and the dignity of every conversation.

06

FAQ

Questions people ask us first

Can't find your answer? Ask us on WhatsApp and a planner will reply.

Do you sell insurance or mutual funds?

No. Wealth Tank is a consulting firm. We give advice and a written plan; you decide where and from whom to buy any product.

What happens in the first meeting?

We listen. We talk about your family, your goals and what is worrying you, look at the documents you bring, and leave you with a clear picture of where you stand and what to look at next.

Can you review policies and investments I already have?

Yes. Bring your policies and investment statements. We check cover, costs and returns, and tell you plainly what is worth keeping.

Can you help me understand a claim?

Yes. We explain what your policy covers, which documents the insurer will ask for, and what to do if a claim is delayed or rejected.

Do you earn commission from builders or brokers?

No. Wealth Tank does not broker property and takes no developer or broker commission. Our real estate advice is paid for by you, so it works for you.

Can we meet online if I'm not in Lucknow?

Yes. We advise families across India and NRIs over video call, and meet in person in Lucknow.

Motor & fleet insurance advisory

The right cover for every vehicle, from one bike to a whole fleet.

Motor policies look alike until the day you claim. We check what your vehicles really need, compare options across insurers, and guide you through renewals and claims. You buy from the insurer of your choice.

Private carsComprehensive and own-damage cover
Two-wheelersBikes and scooters, single or in bulk
Goods carriers & trucksCommercial vehicles of all tonnages
Passenger vehiclesTaxis, buses and school vans
Fleet policiesMany vehicles, one plan and one renewal calendar
Add-on coversZero depreciation, engine protect, roadside assistance, return to invoice, NCB protect
Real estate investment consultancy

Buy property with a plan, not a pitch.

For most families, property is the largest purchase they make and the least planned. We don't broker property and take no developer commission. We help you decide whether to buy, what to buy, and how to pay for it.

The Wealth Tank property test

Five questions we work through with you before you sign anything.

  1. Why are you buying?A home to live in, rental income and long-term appreciation each need different numbers. We start by naming which one this is.
  2. Can you afford it without hurting other goals? The down payment should come from surplus, not your emergency fund or your child's education money. We stress-test the EMI against your take-home pay and a rate rise.
  3. Does the investment math work?Gross rental yields in India's top housing markets are around 3.2–4.6% a year (ANAROCK, Q2 2026), usually below home-loan rates. The return then has to come from appreciation, so we test how much you'd need.
  4. Is it legally clean? We coordinate the document checks with your property lawyer, from the title chain to the occupancy certificate.
  5. Does it fit your overall portfolio? How much of your wealth will sit in one illiquid asset, and what is the exit plan? Sometimes REITs or a smaller purchase do the same job better.
